Hope
Hope
Out of winter comes the hope for brighter days ahead. Spring showers have brought so many rainbows to my back yard already this year. We live on a mountain, every time a sun shower happens we get a show in the valley and I am reminded of how sometimes the most beautiful moments take some storms.
This piece has ten separate cane pulls to make one rainbow and uses a technique from flameworking called wig-wag. First I create a tube of color, then heat individual sections and twist in alternating directions before shrinking the tube into a workable bubble.
